When do you even become an adult anyways? Is it when you have kids? When you don't need to call you mom anymore to figure something out? I have no idea, because I am entirely certain that when I have kids, I am going to be on the phone every day asking my mom how to deal with one problem or another. It sounds like a nightmare. Adulthood. What a concept. Maybe it comes in your thirties, after your "party" years. Or maybe after you graduate?
I think the point is, maturity does not come all at once, but slowly and gradually. Maybe one day I will wake up and wonder when I became an adult. I hope it is a long time from now. I very much enjoy being young. The idea of rising responsibility is disgusting. I wish that my dad still did my laundry every week, so I don't have to figure out the settings for delicate clothing. I wish I didn't have to save my money to pay for school. It sucks, but that is life. Whether you feel like an adult at 18 or not, you still have to pretend you do. Interesting how that works isn't it?
I think the best way to deal with it is working on one thing at a time. First laundry, then meal planning, the taxes, etc. Pray for me! This is going to be interesting...
