Okay, so that isn't exactly how it went... Ironman was merely a name on the board and the strike only happened a few times. There were no calculations or even confidence, but there might as well have been for the fun we were having! Bowling is always more fun than sport for me.
Tomorrow I go back to college. Despite the revolting amount of studying I have to do for my German test Monday, I decided to go bowling with my mom and two brothers. To make it a little more fun, we picked our favorite super hero names to represent us on the board. I was Ironman and chose a red ball to match my character. My middle brother chose batman because his symbol happened to be on his shirt at the time. My youngest brother chose Hawkeye and matched it with a black ball. My mom was not as interested in our shenanigans, but laughed when I named her Bystander #1 for being such a party pooper.
Our board was the coolest in the room, not gonna lie.
I suck at bowling. Even with the bumpers up, the highest score that I got was a 120. Luckily I didn't get the lowest score of the night (my mom pulled a hamstring and only got an 82, despite how well she started). I got second place both times! Sorry ironman... I have disgraced your name!
My family rarely goes bowling. I'm not entirely sure why. We have always gone to movies for family bonding. Today there weren't any movies to see so we decided bowling would be a fun way to shake things up! It was a nice change. A little embarrassing... but it was a fun way to hang out with my family before going back to school.
I'm still dreading the upcoming studying session for German... but I guess I will have to do it eventually! Sooner is better than later!
What are some ways that you spend time with your family? How well do you bowl?
